Ingredients
- 1 cup (225 g) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup (240 g) sour cream
- 2 cups (454 g) unsalted butter, softened
- 3 cups (600 g) granulated sugar
- 7 large eggs, room temperature
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3½ cups cake flour, sifted
- ¼ teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C). Grease and flour a 10-inch Bundt or tube pan.
- Beat the butter and cream cheese together until smooth and fluffy, about 4–5 minutes.
- Gradually add the sugar and continue beating until light and creamy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Mix in the vanilla extract and sour cream until fully incorporated.
- Whisk together the cake flour and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the batter, mixing on low speed until just combined.
- Pour the batter evenly into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 85–95 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 15 minutes before carefully transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Slice and serve plain or garnish with powdered sugar, fresh berries, or whipped cream.
