Ingredients

  • 9 lasagna noodles, cooked and drained
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara or spaghetti sauce
  • 1 cup cottage cheese or ricotta cheese
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef. Drain excess grease, then stir in marinara sauce. Simmer for 5–10 minutes.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix cottage or ricotta cheese, cream cheese, sour cream, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  4. Layer in the baking dish: Spread a small amount of meat sauce on the bottom, then layer 3 lasagna noodles, half of the cheese mixture, a layer of meat sauce, and 1/3 of the mozzarella. Repeat layers. Finish with remaining noodles, meat sauce, mozzarella, and Parmesan on top.
  5. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 15–20 minutes until bubbly and golden on top.
  6. Let rest for 10 minutes before serving. Garnish with parsley if desired.
