Ingredients
- 1 package phyllo dough or spring roll wrappers
- 8 oz feta cheese, crumbled
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley or dill, chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Melted butter or olive oil, for brushing
- Sesame seeds or black seeds (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix crumbled feta, egg, herbs, and black pepper until well combined.
- Place a sheet of phyllo or a wrapper on a clean surface and brush lightly with melted butter or olive oil.
- Spoon some feta filling near one edge and roll tightly, folding in the sides to form a neat roll.
- Place seam-side down on the baking sheet. Repeat with remaining filling.
- Brush the tops with more butter or oil and sprinkle with sesame seeds if using.
- Bake for 18–20 minutes, or until golden brown and crisp.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
