Ingredients
- 9 lasagna noodles, cooked and drained
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 jar (24 oz) marinara or spaghetti sauce
- 1 cup cottage cheese or ricotta cheese
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef. Drain excess grease, then stir in marinara sauce. Simmer for 5–10 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, mix cottage or ricotta cheese, cream cheese, sour cream, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Layer in the baking dish: Spread a small amount of meat sauce on the bottom, then layer 3 lasagna noodles, half of the cheese mixture, a layer of meat sauce, and 1/3 of the mozzarella. Repeat layers. Finish with remaining noodles, meat sauce, mozzarella, and Parmesan on top.
- Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 15–20 minutes until bubbly and golden on top.
- Let rest for 10 minutes before serving. Garnish with parsley if desired.
