Ingredients
Casserole
- 1 (30-ounce) bag frozen shredded hash browns, thawed
- 1 (10.5-ounce) can cream of chicken soup
- 2 cups sour cream
- 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted (divided)
- ½ cup diced onion
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
Topping
- 2 cups crushed corn flakes
- Remaining ¼ cup melted butter
Instructions
- Prepare the Oven
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish. - Mix the Filling
In a large bowl, combine the thawed hash browns, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, cheddar cheese, diced onion, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and ¼ cup melted butter. Stir until everything is evenly coated. - Fill the Baking Dish
Spread the potato mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish. - Prepare the Topping
Mix the crushed corn flakes with the remaining ¼ cup melted butter until evenly coated. - Add the Crunch
Sprinkle the buttered cornflake mixture evenly over the casserole. - Bake
