Yield: 8–10 Apple Rings
Ingredients
- 3–4 Granny Smith apples
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 8 ounces Philadelphia cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup caramel dip
- ½ cup graham cracker crumbs
- ½ cup white baking chips
- 1 teaspoon vegetable oil (optional, for smoother drizzle)
- Extra caramel drizzle for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Apples
Wash the apples thoroughly. Slice them into thick rounds about ½ inch thick. Remove the center with a small round cutter or apple corer to create ring shapes. - Prevent Browning
Lightly brush both sides of each apple ring with lemon juice to keep them fresh and bright. - Add the Cheesecake Layer
Spread a smooth layer of softened cream cheese over one side of each apple ring. - Spread the Caramel
Carefully spread a layer of caramel dip over the cream cheese. - Add the Crunch
Sprinkle graham cracker crumbs evenly over the caramel, gently pressing them so they stick. - Melt the Chocolate
Microwave the white baking chips in 20-second intervals, stirring after each, until completely smooth. Stir in the vegetable oil if desired. - Decorate
Drizzle the melted white chocolate over each apple ring. Add an extra drizzle of caramel if desired. - Chill
Place the apple rings in the refrigerator for 10–15 minutes until the toppings are firm. - Serve
Serve immediately while the apples remain crisp and the toppings are chilled.
Tips for Success
- Use firm Granny Smith apples for the best crunch.
- Allow the cream cheese to soften completely for easy spreading.
- Pat apple slices dry after brushing with lemon juice.
- Refrigerate before serving for cleaner slices and better texture.
- Add chopped pecans or toffee bits for extra crunch.
Storage
- Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
- For the freshest texture, enjoy within 24 hours.
- Do not freeze, as the apples will lose their crisp texture.
Variations
- Use Honeycrisp or Pink Lady apples instead of Granny Smith.
- Swap graham cracker crumbs for crushed vanilla wafers.
- Add chopped pecans or walnuts.
- Sprinkle with mini chocolate chips.
- Dust lightly with ground cinnamon for a warm fall flavor.
