Ingredients
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 egg
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, mix together the cake mix, melted butter, and 1 egg until combined. Press mixture evenly into the bottom of the pan to form the crust.
- Sprinkle chopped pecans evenly over the crust layer.
- In another bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add the remaining 2 eggs, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar. Beat until light and fluffy.
- Pour the cream cheese mixture over the pecans and spread evenly.
- Bake for 35–40 minutes or until the center is set and edges are golden. The middle will still be slightly gooey – that’s perfect!
