Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (10 oz) can diced tomatoes with green chiles
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 fresh jalapeños, sliced (remove seeds for less heat)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: cooked pasta, rice, or crushed tortilla chips for layering
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, cook ground beef with onion and garlic until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in diced tomatoes, sour cream, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Spread beef mixture into a baking dish. Top with shredded cheese and jalapeño slices.
- Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes until bubbly and golden on top.
