  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, softened

  • ½ cup chopped pecans (optional)

Cream Cheese Frosting

  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 1½ cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2–3 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  1. Activate the Yeast
Combine the warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Let stand for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
  2. Prepare the Dough
Mix together the flour, salt, mashed banana, egg, softened butter, and yeast mixture. Knead for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

  8. Prepare the Frosting
Beat together the cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk until smooth and creamy.
  9. Finish
Spread the frosting over the warm cinnamon rolls and serve immediately.
