These Apple Pie Bombs are soft, buttery pastries filled with warm apple pie filling and coated in sweet cinnamon sugar. They are quick to prepare and make an easy dessert for family dinners, holidays, or whenever you want classic apple pie flavor without making a full pie.

Recipe Information

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Bake Time: 15–20 minutes
Total Time: About 30 minutes
Yield: 8 Apple Pie Bombs

Ingredients

  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (8 biscuits)
  • 1½ cups apple pie filling, store-bought or homemade
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • ¼ cup caramel sauce, optional for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Separate the biscuit dough and flatten each biscuit into a small circle.
  3. Place about 2 tablespoons of apple pie filling in the center of each piece of dough.
  4. Bring the edges of the dough together around the filling and pinch firmly to seal.
  5. Place each bomb seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Brush the tops and sides with melted butter.
  7. In a small bowl, combine the granulated sugar and cinnamon.
  8. Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture generously over each Apple Pie Bomb.
  9. Bake for 15–20 minutes, or until puffed and golden brown.
  10. Let cool for about 5 minutes, then drizzle with caramel sauce if desired.

Tips

  • Chop large pieces of apple filling into smaller chunks for easier sealing.
  • Do not overfill the biscuits or the filling may leak while baking.
  • Pinch the dough tightly to keep the filling inside.
  • Serve warm for the best texture and flavor.

Serving Suggestion

Serve these Apple Pie Bombs warm with caramel sauce, whipped cream, or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Storage

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat briefly in the oven or air fryer before serving.
