Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1–2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Cream together the butter, sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until combined.
  7. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  8. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet.
  9. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden brown.
  10. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Recipe Notes

  • For extra chocolate flavor, use 2 cups of chocolate chips.
  • Chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking for thicker cookies.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.

Yield: Approximately 24 cookies
